Reto Gurtner, chairman of the board, president of the management board

Reto Gurtner studied Business Administration and Law. He took over the Crap Sogn Gion cable cars in Laax from his father and merged them in 1996 with the Flims cable cars into Weisse Arena Gruppe. Since then he has also been president of the management board. Reto Gurtner is the visionary and architect of Weisse Arena Gruppe.

Dr. Otto Bruderer, member of the management board

Otto Bruderer is an acting partner for private bank Wegelin & Co. in St. Gallen. He studied in Zurich and St. Gallen, receiving a Master of Economics degree and also qualifying as a barrister. 1999 saw him appointed to the management board.

Joachim Kohm, member of the management board

Joachim Kohm has been on the management board since 2002. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and is a managing partner at Robert Klingel GmbH & Co KG in Pforzheim.

Thorvald Sverdrup, member of the management board

Thorvald Sverdrup is a management consultant in the tourism industry and a private investor with Norwegian company Skialp as. He studied Business Administration in Karlstad and was then, from 1984 to 1987, CEO of Alpsport ab in Sweden and, from 1987 to 2002, CEO of listed company Skistar ab, Sweden. He joined the management board in 2005.

Christoph Gautschi, member of the management board

Christoph Gautschi is entrepreneur in the construction industry. He studied at the Schweizerische Bauschule Aarau. Since 2002 he is chairman of the management board of the Gautschi AG.
He joined the management board of the Weisse Arena Gruppe in 2011.

Martin Hug, Cable Cars, Lifts and Buildings

Since August 2005, Martin Hug has been part of the management team at Weisse Arena Gruppe with responsibility for Weisse Arena Bergbahnen AG. Before then, the business economist worked at Davos Klosters Bergbahnen AG for four years.

Reto Poltéra, Sport and Leisure

Reto Poltéra opened the Snowboard Garage Laax in 1993. 1996 saw him, together with Andreas Bärtsch, take over the snowboarding school, and he was active in product design for the snowboard industry. In May 2005, he was appointed member of the management team at Weisse Arena Gruppe and has since been responsible for Weisse Arena Leisure AG and Mountain Adventures AG.

Christoph Schmidt, Resort and Services

Christoph Schmidt has been a member of the management team at Weisse Arena Gruppe since October 2007. He was previously manager of the 5-star Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Berlin. He completed his course at the Lausanne school of hotel management with distinction and complimented it with an MBA from Berlin. He gained substantial experience in the international hotel business working in Hilton hotels in Zurich, Dresden and Bucharest.

Adrian Wolf, Finance and Personnel

Adrian Wolf studied Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen. Prior to joining Weisse Arena Gruppe, he worked in the international controlling division at retail group Metro AG. A member of the management team since 1996, he is responsible for the Finance and Personnel departments.
