Dividend
Up to the merger of Bergbahnen Flims AG into the Weisse Arena Group, Bergbahnen Crap Sogn Gion AG awarded regular dividends to their shareholders. After the merger into the Weisse Arena Group, various major investments (e.g. ArenaExpress gondolas) were made, and the board of administrators decided to waive the payment of a dividend, thus strengthening the company's equity capital base. This was surely one of the reasons why the equity capital base could be increased from 13.7% to 32.5% between April 1999 and April 2008.
Based on the record results in 2009/10, the board of administrators applied for a dividend payment of 20% on the occasion of the annual meeting in September 2010. This enabled the shareholders to benefit from the positive development of the Weisse Arena Group. There are also plans to pay shareholders a dividend in the future, always according to the company results and the financing requirements.
On the occasion of the general meeting of Weisse Arena AG, the board of administrators applied for a payment of CHF 1 million from the capital investment reserves. This payment corresponds to a dividend of 20% and is free of income tax for private individuals.
